Standard letting Vs Pay as You Go

Here's a quick comparison of the costs of using a standard agent versus the costs of using Pay As You Go Letting :

For the purpose of this example, let's say you have three properties, each bringing in £575 a month and managed by an agent for 10%.

(You will pay VAT on top of that, but we'll leave this out of the equation for simplicity).

Over the course of a year, with a standard letting agent, you would pay £2,070.

Now consider what you might pay Pay As You Go Letting to manage these properties for you for a year.

We'll base PAYG costs on one tenant moving on during the year, and two of the properties needing minor repairs.

The extras may vary dependent on tradesmen or advertising costs, but the Pay As You Go charge won't.
